The author received the ten major readings from his teacher Sh. Dr. Mohammed Sukar, one of the leading qira’at scholars of the Muslim world and holder of the highest chain of transmission in the major ten today; his chain reaches Shaykh al-Khulayji, author of Muqarrib al-Tahrir, through only two narrators. Among the institute’s visiting scholars is Sh. Youssri Auad, a leading qira’at scholar.
